Larry Goins Course Review

Larry Goins sent us a copy of his Ultimate Buying and Selling Machine course. He is an experienced investor who continues to bring in the deals. He claims he is currently invests in 10-15 deals per month. He is a nationally know speaker/investor who travels the country speaking at local Real Estate Investment Clubs about his real estate investment strategy. His approach to real estate investing focuses on automating your business and building “a team” of professionals to do the legwork. Overall the course is probably worth the money, if you are a serious investor and you can put in the time to implement the system.
The course includes:
  • A Course Binder with 14 sections
  • A 6 CD Audio of the course
  • A binder with the Audio Transcription
  • A CD with all the Forms he uses in his business
  • A tutorial DVD
  • A disc with Property Analyzer software
  • A binder transcription of live calls with realtors, buyers, sellers and tenants
There are some great ideas in how to market properties in this course and the property analyzer is a nifty tool to use when determining if a deal is worth the investment.
The section on negotiating short sales in honest in that he states that a short sale can be difficult to be approved by the lender, but still give a decent chronology of how a short sale works and general negotiation tactics. I have read better short sales strategies so if you are looking at investing through a short sales technique this is not the product for you.
Beginning investors and investors with little internet knowledge will get a lot out of this course. There is some great information on using autoresponders, call capture, creating and maintaining lead databases to optimize your marketing efforts and keep you organized. There are actual examples from Larry that he uses in his business and he gives detail in how to make these tools work with any real estate investment strategy.
There is some outdated and overly simplistic material in the course. For instance, there is a section on using internet bookmarking through Mozilla Firefox. I think most people have had Mozilla on their radars for a while now, not to mention the fact that the latest version of Internet Explorer also contains tabbed bookmarking.
While the binders are simplistically put together with inexpensive materials like standard copy paper and tabs to divide each section, the DVD and CDs are well thought out and are a good idea for busy people that can listen in when they have the time in their cars, etc. The written material is laid out in a simple and easy to follow manner.
All in all, the product has good information and is worth the money for serious investors who want to learn how to automate their real estate business.
