Michael Quarles was born in Sacramento California. Upon turning 18, he joined the family construction business and at 21 years old, he sold a 12-plex and cleared $65,000.00. He then realized that his knowledge of real estate could earn an outstanding living but there were areas of business he had yet to learn to perfect his craft.
By the time Michael was 22 years old he began creating wealth as a land developer. He focused on buying vacant land, seeing it through construction and then sold the property for profit.
Michael became a real estate licensee in 1999 and soon after a Broker. Becoming a real estate agent gave him the opportunity to learn the other side of business. It also allowed the time to focus more energy on building systems and procedures and honing his investment strategy.
Quarles suggests that you set goals. When he wrote the number 200 on a piece of paper and pinned it to his wall to represent the number of transactions he would complete that year, he actually surpassed that goal and accomplished 226 transactions in a single year.
When starting out in real estate investing, Michael insists you read "E-Myth" by Michael Gerber and hiring a mentor to guide you in the beginning. He believes that fear of failure can become a strong motivator to succeed with the right tools.
Michael is currently an active investor and mentor. He is the owner of My Realty Data, a new investment software that is on the cusp of "hitting it big" in the marketplace. He is a frequent speaker at real estate investment events around the country
